Getting started

Setting up Adage

When you first open Adage, a one-minute setup asks for the themes you're drawn to and the thinkers you'd like to follow. This shapes your daily feed. You can change any of it later — add or remove themes and thinkers anytime from the Library and Settings.

Adding the Daily Wisdom widget

To put a fresh quote on your iPhone Lock Screen:

  • Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
  • Tap the space below the clock, then pick Adage from the list.
  • Choose Daily Wisdom, tap Add, and you're done.

Subscriptions & billing

What's free, and what's Premium?

The daily quote, the full library of thinkers, story-mode biographies, a quiz every day and your saved favorites are always free. Adage Premium adds quote explanations ("What this means") and unlimited practice quizzes.

How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?

Adage Premium is billed through your Apple ID, so it's managed in iOS Settings:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  • Select Adage, then Cancel Subscription.

If you cancel before your 3-day free trial ends, you won't be charged.

How do I restore a purchase?

If you've reinstalled the app or moved to a new device, open Settings → Restore purchases inside Adage to bring back your Premium membership.

I'd like a refund

App Store purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, email us and we'll do our best to help.

Your account & data

Do I need an account?

No. Adage works fully without one — your streak, XP and saved ideas live on your device. An optional free account simply backs them up and lets them follow you to another device.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account and synced progress from our systems. To clear on-device data, you can also reset onboarding in Settings, or uninstall the app.

How do I export my data?

Troubleshooting

I'm not getting my daily reminder

Check that notifications are enabled for Adage in iOS Settings → Notifications → Adage, and that a reminder is switched on in Adage → Settings → Notifications. Adage sends at most one reminder a day, at the time you chose.

The app isn't behaving as expected

Make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store, then restart the app. If the problem continues, email us with your device model and iOS version and we'll dig in.

I found a wrong attribution or a typo in a quote

We genuinely want to know — accuracy matters to us. Send the details to [email protected] and we'll correct it.
